Bamboo Fly Rods
Proprietor and master rod-maker Joe Brunner painstakingly builds
each bamboo fly rod from fine Tonkin cane by blending old-world
craftsmanship and artistic impression. He works closely with the
customer from the initial design stage to final finish to ensure
complete satisfaction with the aesthetic appointments as well as
the performance characteristics of each rod. Presentation series
rods reflect meticulous attention to detail and a rare
standard of craftsmanship.
A wide selection of known and proven rod tapers, lengths and weights
will please contemporary anglers and traditionalists alike. All
Fireside cane rods are built with two tip sections and each is hand
finished and appointed with the finest components available. Orders
for Presentation series rods are limited to three each year on a

Master series fly rods are crafted with the same care and masterful
precision as the Presentation series are,
but are made with premium-grade synthetic blanks manufactured by Sage,
Thomas
& Thomas, Winston,
Scott
and other leading rod-makers. We can help you select the
right rod design, length, weight and taper to match
your skills or physical abilities, and to meet your most demanding
requirements - from bows to bones.
Master series fly rods are made to your exact specifications using
only the finest grade components. These rods are built using premium
brand blanks, machined nickel-silver, titanium, anodized aluminum
and other corrosion resistant reel seats, select hardwood inserts,
high-performance stripping guides, hardened and/or oversized snake
guides, flor-grade cork grips and custom fighting butts. Additional
appointments of polished stone stripping guides, elegant facing caps
for cork grips, and inlaid inserts are optional upon request. Prices
vary considerably depending on one's choice of rod blanks, reel seats,
